SPARTANBURG, S.C. — USC Upstate Athletics has named
Scott Smith as the new Assistant Athletics Director for Video and Digital Strategy. Smith will lead the department's video production, creative content and digital storytelling efforts while strengthening the Spartans' brand presence across social media, in-venue productions and digital platforms.
Smith arrives in Spartanburg following a standout season with the Fredericksburg Nationals, where he produced multimedia content that drove fan engagement and significantly expanded the team's online reach. He previously served as Assistant Director of Creative Media for the University of Houston Football program and held creative roles with Southern Miss Athletics and the University of Mary Washington.

Smith is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned his master's degree in sport management.
