Women's Golf Returns to Fripp Island for the Big South Championship

FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – USC Upstate women's golf earned the seventh seed in the Big South Women's Golf Championship. The championship, held April 13-16 on Fripp Island at Ocean Creek Course, kicks off on Sunday with the three-day, 54-hole stroke play event. A match play semifinal and final rounds will be held Wednesday, April 16 between the top four teams finishers in stroke play.

Golfers to Watch:
Rylie Kosney is a golfer to watch after a successful regular season of play for the Spartans. The last time Kosney was at Ocean Creek Golf Course, she finished second in the Fripp Island Intercollegiate. Her season is highlighted by four top-25 finishes and one other top-10 finish.
Alexis Rieli also earned a top-10 finish last time Upstate played on Ocean Creek Golf Course in the Fripp Island Intercollegiate.
