Players to WatchÂ
Upstate: Freshman Infielder, Alyssa Davenport has continued to grow in her collegiate career and proves no matter where she is in the infield or outfield, she can impact the game. Davenport is batting .339 on the season with 20 hits, 14 runs scored, 14 RBI, four doubles, .429 slugging percentage, .426 on-base percentage, and recently just knocked out her first collegiate homer. Davenport has seen time at second base, third base and left field while adding a .922 fielding percentage with 16 putouts, 31 assists and one double play. In the win against Troy, Davenport had her seond game with three hits, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a two-RBI performance. As Alyssa Davenport continues to display growth within the lineup, she will look to help Upstate move back into the win column as the Spartans enter the last stretches of non-conference play. Â
Central Michigan: Senior Utility, Angela Petrovitch has made her return from injury leading the Chippewas with a .480 batting average through 15 games played, 24 hits, two doubles, two triples, five stolen bases and 12 runs scored. Petrovitch has added eight multi-hit games and defensively provides 25 putouts along with 15 assists with a .976 fielding percentage. Petrovitch will look to make the most of the Sunshine state battling the Spartans through four opportunities. Â
