Taliyah Thomas’ resume continues to grow being named NFCA All-Region Third Team for the second consecutive season

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The NFCA officially released the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Teams as Senior Outfielder, Taliyah Thomas was announced on the NFCA D1 All-Region Third Team in the Southern Region.

The Senior from Iron Station, North Carolina continues to have a historic season for the books where she was the Big South Preseason Player of the Year and the Postseason Player of the Year, 1x Player of the Week winner, First Team All-Conference and now adds being named to the NFCA All-Region Third Team for the second consecutive season. Thomas leads Upstate batting .418 on the season with 76 hits, 62 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 48 RBI, .615 slugging percentage and 29 stolen bases. Thomas also made her way to the Big South All-Tournament Team after an impressive outing including a 4-for-4 performance with a five-RBI day, a home run, and one stolen base which ultimately helped Upstate complete a three-peat to win the 2026 Big South Conference Title. The resume of Taliyah Thomas has seen more growth through the years and her current focus is making another statement at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional as the Spartans prepare to begin their postseason journey against National Number One seeded, Alabama. As the Spartans look to take the field, Thomas will be a player that is must see TV in postseason play as she continues her historic Senior season.
