Baseball Sees Five Spartans Capture Postseason All-Conference Accolades as Bentley, Lang, Sweeney, Waters, and Zenor Honored

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Entering postseason play as the No. 3 seed in the Big South Baseball Championship, USC Upstate baseball finds itself with five players garnering postseason recognition as the league announced its yearly award winners and All-Conference teams.

Heading the Spartans' award haul, three players find themselves as Second Team All-Big South selection with redshirt sophomore catcher Tyler Lang, fifth-year senior designated hitter Johnny Sweeney, and redshirt sophomore rightfielder Henry Zenor earning the distinctions.

Senior first baseman Wylie Waters was named Honorable Mention All-Big South, while redshirt freshman Trey Bentley earned a spot on the Big South's All-Freshman Team. Adding to his Second Team accolade, Lang earned a spot on the league's All-Academic Team.

Named Second Team All-Big South … Named Big South Player of the Week on 5/4/26 … Named Preseason All-Big South … Appeared in and started 54 games … Posted a three-slash line of .258/.434/.506 … Collected 43 runs, 46 hits, nine doubles, one triple, 11 home runs, and 50 RBI … Drew 34 walks and 25 HBP … Stole three bases in four attempts … Recorded a season-high-tying three hits on three occasions: versus UNC Asheville on 3/27/26; versus Gardner-Webb on 5/2/26; and versus Gardner-Webb on 5/3/26 … Collected a season-high six RBI versus Gardner-Webb on 5/2/26 … Recorded 13 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games … Posted a season-long seven-game hitting streak and a career-long 22-game reached base streak.

Henry Zenor | Outfielder | Redshirt Sophomore | St. Louis, Mo.
