Big South Conference Schedule Released for Women's Basketball

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate women's basketball learned its path through Big South Conference play as the league announced its 2026-27 conference schedule, featuring a 16-game slate beginning in late December.
The Spartans open Big South action at home, welcoming UNC Asheville to the G.B. Hodge Center on Wednesday, Dec. 30. Upstate remains at home to begin the new year, hosting Winthrop on Saturday, Jan. 2.
Upstate hits the road for the first time in league play on Wednesday, Jan. 6, traveling to High Point. Following an open date on Jan. 9, the Spartans return to Spartanburg for consecutive home contests against Charleston Southern on Jan. 13 and Presbyterian on Jan. 16.
The Spartans then head on the road for back-to-back contests, visiting Gardner-Webb on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Radford on Saturday, Jan. 23. Upstate closes January with three games over an eight-day stretch, hosting Longwood on Jan. 27 before traveling to Winthrop on Jan. 30.
February begins with Upstate traveling to Presbyterian on Wednesday, Feb. 3 before returning to the Hodge Center to host High Point on Saturday, Feb. 6. After an open date on Feb. 10, the Spartans remain home to welcome Radford on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Upstate travels to Longwood on Wednesday, Feb. 17 before returning home for its final home contest of the regular season against Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Spartans conclude the conference slate with back-to-back road games, traveling to UNC Asheville on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Charleston Southern on Saturday, Feb. 27.
The 2027 Big South Women's Basketball Championship is scheduled for March 3-4 and March 6-7 at Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City, Tenn. The tournament opens with the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds meeting in the first round on March 3, followed by the quarterfinals on March 4, semifinals on March 6 and championship game on March 7.
Game times for the conference schedule will be announced at a later date, and the schedule remains subject to change, including adjustments related to television.
