2014: Set new personal-best times in the 5k in each of the final two meets of the season with the last coming at the A-Sun Championships...Finished in 44th place during the A-Sun Championships following her time of 20:00.28…Had a best finish of 37th place at the Winthrop Invitational after crossing the finish line in a time of 20:47.48.
2013: Took part in five events…Finished 10th in the “B” race of the UNC Charlotte Invitational where she ran a personal-best time in the 6K of 23:41.50…Posted a season-best time in the 5K of 20:25.93 at the A-Sun Championships.
2012: Ran in all six meets as a freshman…Had one top-10 finish after placing 10th at the Upstate Invite…Added a 23rd-place performance in her first career meet at the Eye Opener Invitational.
High School: An All-Region and All-District selection at Hidden Valley High School for both cross country and track & field, while receiving All-State nods for outdoor track … Posted a time of 19:20 in the 5K … Crossed the line in 59.87 in the 400-meter, while finishing the 800-meter in 2:20.65.
Personal: Born on Dec. 20, 1993…Mother is Tracey Torres…Has two sisters, Schyller (21) and Ayshia (11)…Is majoring in criminal justice…Enjoys playing with her animals, watching Netflix, exploring new places, sports, reading and learning random facts…Likes eating steak and crab legs…Says “Beauty and the Beast” is her favorite movie and “Orange Is The New Black” and “Once Upon A Time” her favorite TV shows…Summer and fall are her favorite seasons…Her favorite quote is, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”…Her dream job is to work in federal law enforcement.
