2012-13: Drew starts in five of the 33 games in which he appeared and ended the season with an average of 4.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game … Ranked eighth in the Atlantic Sun with 0.9 blocked shots per game … Tallied three blocked shots against Coastal Georgia (Dec. 30) and at Jacksonville (Feb. 21) … Recorded a season-high 11 points in helping Upstate capture the program’s first ever A-Sun Tournament victory with a 76-62 victory over Jacksonville (Mar. 7) in the opening round … Grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in Upstate’s 83-71 win over Lipscomb (Jan. 31) … Tallied nine rebounds against Santa Clara (Nov. 20) and North Florida (Feb. 23).
2011-12: Played in
all 34 games with two starts as a sophomore for the Spartans… Averaged 5.6 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per contest… Scored a season-high 14 points at North Florida on Jan. 14, using a 5-for-7 performance from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 showing at the free throw line… Tallied 35 blocks on the year to bring his career total to 106 to put him third all-time in Upstate history… Recorded a career-high six field goals on Feb. 18 at Lipscomb… Notched a season-high seven rebounds on Nov. 14 against Piedmont College and Nov. 27 against Victory University… Shot 53.3 percent from the field and averaged 1.0 blocks per game.
2010-11: Appeared in all 30 games and made 11 starts in first season in a Spartan uniform... Averaged 6.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.37 blocks per game... Led the A-Sun and finished tied for 22nd nationally in blocks per game... Among freshman leaders, Olumuyiwa was tied for second with Savannah State’s Jyles Smith, trailed only St. Jospeh’s C.J. Aiken (3.5 bpg)... Finished the season tied for 13th in the conference in offensive rebounds (2.13 orpg)... In league only games, he finished second in blocks (2.15 bpg) and tied for 13th in offensive rebounds (2.15 orpg)... Scored nine points to go along with six rebounds and four blocks against East Carolina (Nov. 21) on the final day of the Charleston Classic... Flirted with a triple-double and cemented his name in a trio of record books with 11 points, nine rejections and seven rebounds at South Carolina (Nov. 23)... His nine blocked shots were a new Upstate single-game record and he tied an A-Sun single game record as he became just the sixth player in conference history to record nine blocks in a single game... He also put his name in the South Carolina record book as his nine-block performance was the third most ever against the Gamecocks... The only names ahead of Olumuyiwa’s in the South Carolina record book are Derek Holcomb (Illinois) and Shaquille O’Neal (LSU)... Holcomb (Dec. 8, 1978) and O’Neal (Feb. 19, 1992) each recorded 11 blocks against South Carolina... His single-game total of nine blocks also put him in a tie for sixth nationally and he was just one of three freshmen in the nation to accomplish the feat in 2010-11.
Before USC Upstate: Turned in a standout performance as a senior at Clarke Central for head coach Billy Wade... Named the Region 8-AAAA Player of the Year... Averaged 15 points and 12.9 rebounds per game... Led Clarke Central to 18-7 overall record and a 13-5 mark and third place in the region standings... A member of the varsity squad for three years... Led Clarke Central to a 17-10 overall record and a 12-6 mark and second-place finish in Region 8-4A as a junior... The Gladiators also went on to claim the Region 8-4A tournament title and advance to the second round of the 4A state tournament... Averaged 14.3 points, 12.1 rebounds and six blocked shots per game as a junior and was an honorable mention All-Northeast Georgia selection... Earned team honors as the Gladiators’ top defensive player... Led the squad in rebounding and blocked shots... Also played AAU ball for the Smyrna Stars AAU team coached by Gary Graham...
