Biography
PRIOR TO USC UPSTATE: Transfers to USC Upstate from one of the top junior college programs in the nation, Florida Southwestern State. Martinez was named FCSAA Player of the Week during this season while having 4 straight double-double games. Martinez averaged 7.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the Bucs during the regular season while shooting 57% from the field. He was named to the 2nd team All-Conference in the highly competitive Citrus Conference. Jafeth will be the first Honduras-born Division 1 basketball player to receive a full scholarship in NCAA history.
