2019-2020 (Senior): Competed in two events for a total of four rounds…averaged an 80.75 stroke average and recorded a season low round of 76…DeFreitas won the PC Match Play individual consolation prize during the fall season.
2018-19 (Junior): Played in a total of 15 rounds in 6 events during her junior season. Had a stroke average of 82.53 with a career high 1238 strokes. Finished the season with 99 wins and 328 losses for a win/loss record of .232%. DeFreitas’ best finish came during the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate Tournament where she scored a total of 160, with a par of +16, finished 25th out of 52. This was DeFreitas’ second best season in win totals and stroke average.
2016-17 (Freshman): Played in three events and six rounds…Registered 505 strokes and an 84.17 stroke average…Logged action at the Terrier Intercollegiate, Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate and ASUN Women’s Golf Championships…Had a low round of 79 at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate…Recorded a best finish of tied for 32nd at the ASUN Women’s Golf Championships.
High School: Graduated from Boiling Springs High School where she lettered five years in golf, three in basketball and two in softball…Compiled a 9-hole stroke average of 39.2 and an 18-hole stroke average of 82.4 during her prep career…Was named All-Region for golf in 2015 and softball in 2016.
Personal: Born on July 14, 1998…Parents are Arlindo DeFreitas and Leigh Ann Lawter…Has one sister, Santana Greene…Both her father and sister played soccer at USC Upstate…Is majoring in physical education.
