
Culler Earns All-Region Honors

Spartanburg, S.C. - While the 10th-ranked USC Upstate men's golf team is in the midst of battling for the NCAA Division II National Championship in Allendale, Mich., Spartan sophomore Baxter Culler continues to rack up individual accolades and has been named to the Southeast Region All-Region team released Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Culler, from Hartsville, S.C., led the Peach Belt Conference in stroke average from start to finish. He won the season-opening Kiawah Island Invitational with a 7-under-par total and played a solid all-around season. He finished the year winning the individual championship at the Peach Belt Conference Championships prior to beginning NCAA Tournament play. Culler entered this week's NCAA Nationals with a 72.8 stroke average and six top five and eight top 10 finishes in 12 tournaments this season.
The Southeast Region All-Region team is dominated by Peach Belt Conference players. All 13 players on the All-Region squad are from PBC schools. Joining Culler on the All-Region team are Armstrong Atlantic State's Chris Wolfe and Andrew Workman; Columbus State's Kyle Albright, Andrew Georgiou, Brandon Kuban, and Christian Ries; Clayton State's Will Wilcox; Georgia College & State's Johan Cronvall; Lander's Jake Amos and Billy Belair; and USC Aiken's Roberto Diaz and Jeff Goff.
