SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate baseball team will play a doubleheader at South Carolina on Tuesday, May 12 beginning at 4 p.m. at Carolina Stadium. Each game will be seven innings with the second game scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. or 30 minutes after the first game concludes. South Carolina and USC Upstate were originally scheduled to play a nine-inning game that evening but the Gamecocks were short one game in the regular season schedule because of Wednesday's rainout at Wofford. The Spartans lost three games due to weather during the season, two against Army in February and one against UNC Asheville in April.
Upstate (12-33 overall) will wrap first wrap up a three-game midweek on Thursday when Charleston Southern makes the trek to Harley Park for a 6 p.m. game before starting a three-game set with A-Sun foe North Florida on Saturday.
