Upstate Highlighted in A-Sun Basketball Media Days

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Atlantic Sun Conference is in the midst of its 2012-13 Online Basketball Media Days and the USC Upstate women's basketball team was featured Tuesday afternoon with head coach Tammy George, senior Lauren McRoberts (Carmel, Ind.) and senior Tee'Ara Copney (Asheville, N.C.).
"We're excited that it's a new year; we're very excited to just get back out on the basketball court," George said. "We've been practicing for a little while now and we're just very excited. It's a new year, a new season. The kids are working hard so we're just looking forward to the upcoming year."
The Spartans were picked to finish seventh in the A-Sun Preseason Coaches' Poll and Media Poll, while Copney was named to the A-Sun Preseason All-Conference Team.
