
Craig, Greene Honored by College Hoops Daily

Spartanburg, S.C. – USC Upstate forward Torrey Craig and guard Ty Greene were both named to the College Hoops Daily All-Atlantic Sun Team of the Month for their play during the month of November in leading the Spartans to a 5-3 record.
Craig, who leads the Atlantic Sun with 19.1 points per game, was named the College Hoops Daily Player of the Month in the A-Sun. Craig has turned in five games thus far this season of at least 20 points, which includes tying his career-high with 31 points Nov. 13 at Winthrop. Craig is attempting to become just the second player in A-Sun history to lead the league in scoring in three consecutive seasons.
Craig also ranks fifth in the A-Sun with 6.8 rebounds per game and is the only player in the conference to rank in the top 5 in both scoring and rebounding. The Great Falls, S.C., native also shot 43.1 percent from the field and 34.0 percent from three-point range during the month of November.
Greene finished the month of November with an average of 16.0 points per game to rank him second in the conference in scoring, giving Upstate the top two scorers in the Atlantic Sun. Greene also ranks fourth in the league with 3.6 assists per game and is tied for first in the conference with 18 three-pointers made.
The Knoxville, Tenn., native ranks second in the A-Sun with 35.5 minutes per game and enters the month of December leading the conference with a 4.1 assist/turnover ratio. Greene has only committed seven turnovers in 284 minutes of play.
Earlier this year, Greene scored 17 points, including 15 in the second half, to lead Upstate to a thrilling 64-63 win at Virginia Tech to help secure the program's first win over an ACC program.
Craig, Greene and the rest of the Spartans return to action tonight when Upstate battles Cincinnati at 7 p.m. from Fifth Third Arena.
