
A-Sun Basketball Gains Additional Coverage With Affiliate Agreements

Macon, Ga. –The Atlantic Sun Conference has expanded the broadcast availability of its conference basketball games in 2014 via affiliate agreements with Cox Sports Television, the Bright House Sports Network and Time Warner Cable, the conference announced Thursday.
A total of 12 additional games will be available among the trio of affiliates, including a pair of Northern Kentucky men's basketball contests appearing on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel, Ohio's home for comprehensive local sports content. It can be found on channel 1311 in high definition and 311 in standard definition across the state, as well as on channel 510 in portions of the Columbus area and on channel 511 (HD) and 510 in portions of northern Kentucky. Both men's games between defending A-Sun Champion FGCU and Stetson will appear on the Bright House Sports Network. Headquartered in Pinellas Park, Fla., Bright House Networks is the sixth largest owner and operator of cable systems in the U.S. and the second largest in Florida. BHSN can be found on channel 47 (SD) and channel 1147 (HD). The A-Sun's presence on BHSN can be seen from coast to coast across Central Florida and Tampa Bay, Fla. Cox Sports Television, based in New Orleans, La., boasts a reach of 18 states that includes Georgia and Florida in the A-Sun's footprint. CST will carry the FGCU at Stetson match-up on Jan. 5, along with the eight conference match-ups that constitute the season's A-Sun/CSS Friday Night Game of the Week package. The CST schedule also includes both of the A-Sun Men's Basketball Championship semifinals and the A-Sun Women's Basketball Championship final in early March. The expanded opportunities now also include the Macon, Ga., Cox system, where CST can be found on channel 337 (SD) and channel 1337 (HD).
