Spartans Finish Play at Wolfpack Intercollegiate

Raleigh, N.C. – Taylor White shot a 73 to lead the USC Upstate men's golf team in the final round of the Wolfpack Intercollegiate at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course Tuesday afternoon.
Upstate counted scores of 73 from White, 76 from both Sean Hassell and Sebastian Lopez Bulla and 85 from Andrew Purcell to shoot 310 in the final round. The Spartans finished 18th with a 916 total in the 54-hole tournament hosted by N.C. State.
The Wolfpack claimed the team championship with an 846 total and was followed on the final leaderboard by East Tennessee State (855), East Carolina (863), Georgia Southern (868), UNC Greensboro (868), Seton Hall (877), Rhode Island (885), N.C. State "B" (886), Loyola (Md.) (888), Lipscomb (889), Temple (889), Campbell (890), Boston College (894), George Washington (896), Wofford (897), Bowling Green State (901), Western Carolina (906) and Upstate (916). N.C. State's David Cooke and ETSU's Adrian Meronk tied for medalist honors at 208.
White was solid on the day. He played the front nine at even-par and was 2-over on the back nine to finish with a 73 on the par-71 course. He also made two birdies on the day and increased his tournament total to six. He finished tied for 33rd with a 222 total.
Hassell had a steady round in turning in a 76, finishing with 13 pars on the day. He claimed a tie for 54th with a 226 total. Lopez Bulla posted two birdies in his final round to shoot 76 and finished tied for 61st at 229. In all, Upstate made four birdies on the day and increased its tournament total to 18 with an eagle over the 54-hole event.
