Upstate Concludes Play at Wolfpack Intercollegiate in Ninth Place

Raleigh, N.C. – The USC Upstate men's golf team improved three spots in the final standings of the Wolfpack Intercollegiate on Tuesday after shooting a final round 293 to finish the two-day tournament in ninth place.
Upstate concluded the Wolfpack Intercollegiate with a total of score of 593 as all five players in the lineup improved their score by at least one stroke on the final day of competition.
Ryan Cornfield led the way for the Spartans as he carded a final round 70 to finish in a tie for eighth place. Cornfield recorded a 1-under score over his first nine holes highlighted by two birdies on the 1st and 4th. The senior added another birdie on the 13th hole to finish at even-par on the back nine. He ended the day at 1-under overall and had a 143 for the tournament.
Taylor White also trimmed one stroke off his first round total following a final day 73 to place in a tie for 30th. White opened the day by collecting a birdie on the 1st hole and made the turn at even-par. He finished with a two-day score of 147.
Sebastian Lopez Bulla turned in the third-best score for Upstate after posting a 75 during the final round and placed just one stroke behind White in a tie for 36th place with a 148 total score. Lopez Bulla compiled two birdies throughout his round with both coming within the first five holes.
Trey Taylor added a 75 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 69th and registered a two-round score of 155. Taylor cut five strokes off his score from Monday highlighted by finishing the day with two birdies over the final four holes.
Tom Schofield tallied a final round 77 to finish in a tie for 76th with his 157 total score. Schofield picked up a birdie to open his round on the 1st hole and added a total of 10 pars.
Augusta finished first in the team standings to win the Wolfpack Intercollegiate while Augusta's Robin Petersson captured the individual championship after holding off Tyler Lail of Western Carolina and West Virginia's Max Sear by three strokes.
The Spartans are back in action Saturday, Oct. 24 when they begin play at the Camden Collegiate Invitational in Camden, S.C.
