
Weather Halts Final Round of CSU Kiawah Classic, Upstate Finishes 18th Overall

Kiawah Island, S.C. – The final round of the CSU Kiawah Classic from Turtle Point Golf Course on Tuesday was suspended due to weather, giving the USC Upstate men's golf team a finish of 18th place in its final tournament of the fall season.
Several teams managed to play as many as seven holes Tuesday morning before the course was deemed unplayable due to the weather. All scores through Monday's second round became final. Upstate finished the CSU Kiawah Classic with a total score of 605.
Ryan Cornfield led the Spartans individually in a tie for 12th place followed by Taylor White who finished tied in 84th place. Matt Carter was tied for 90th and Trey Taylor added a tie for the 94th position. Sebastian Lopez Bulla rounded out the team scoring for Upstate tied for 101st.
Charleston Southern won the CSU Kiawah Classic and Augusta's Robin Petersson took home individual medalist honors.
