
Starling Named Atlantic Sun Co-Player of the Week

Spartanburg, S.C. - USC Upstate senior center Brittany Starling has been named Co-Player of the Week by the Atlantic Sun Conference for her performance last week, league officials announced today. This is Starling's second weekly honor the 2015-16 season and fourth of her career.
Starling finished with a double-double in all three of the Spartans' games last week as Upstate went 2-1. She led all players with 26 points and 19 rebounds as the Spartans scored 29 points in the fourth quarter in an 86-72 victory at Morehead State last Monday. At North Carolina, Starling led Upstate with 12 points and 10 rebounds before closing out her week with a 23 point, 14 rebound effort in a 68-46 home victory over N.C. Central. Starling has a double-double in her last four games and has seven double-doubles this season.
During the three games, Starling averaged 20.3 points per game with 14.3 rebounds per game. She was 25-for-36 (72.2%) from the field while pulling down 43 rebounds, 32 of them on the defensive glass.
Upstate will host Mars Hill in the Hodge Center on December 30 at 5 p.m.
