
Spartans Return Home to Face William & Mary, Warren Wilson

Spartanburg, S.C. – After a three-game road trip, the USC Upstate women's basketball team returns to the Hodge Center as the Spartans kick off a three-game homestand on Tuesday night against William & Mary before facing Warren Wilson on Wednesday night. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Upstate is 2-2 following a 77-57 loss at Illinois on Sunday. Riley Popplewell scored a career-high 15 points in the loss. Popplewell finished 6-for-9 from the field and made three free throws. Raven Jefferson leads the Spartans with an average of 12.3 points per game while Popplewell is the leading rebounder with 5.0 rebounds per game.
William & Mary is 2-1 following a 69-58 victory at Old Dominion on Sunday. The Tribe are led by Marlena Tremba and Bianca Boggs, who are averaging 12.7 points per game and 11.7 points per game respectively. Alexandra Masaquel is the leading rebounder with 6.3 rebounds per game. Ed Swanson is in his fourth season at William & Mary and 27th overall. Tuesday is the first meeting between the schools.
Warren Wilson has a 4-3 record following an 88-83 loss at Alice Lloyd College on Saturday. Robin Davis is in her third season as head coach of the Owls. Warren Wilson leads the all-time series 1-0 thanks to a 67-61 victory on Jan. 20, 1977.
