
Spartans Make Final Road Trip of Season to Presbyterian College

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate baseball team will conclude the road portion of its 2016 schedule on Tuesday as the Spartans travel to Presbyterian College for a 3 p.m. matchup.
Upstate enters Tuesday's matchup with a 20-28 record after being swept at North Florida in an Atlantic Sun Conference series last weekend. North Florida won by scores of 15-4, 10-3 and 13-6.
The Spartans lead the A-Sun in triples and are tied for 10th nationally with 21. Upstate is ninth in the NCAA with .44 triples per game. Cody Brittain is the league leader with five triples with Devon Ortiz and James Fowlkes tied for second with four triples each.
Presbyterian College is 24-27 after being swept in a non-conference series against VCU. The Blue Hose tied the all-time series 18-18 thanks to a 6-5 comeback win at Harley Park on April 6.
