Shimko Named to PGCBL All-Star Team

Albany, N.Y. – Rising USC Upstate junior outfielder J.J. Shimko has been named a starter for the Eastern Division team in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game, league officials announced today.
Shimko, a member of the Albany Dutchman, is batting .319 with 38 hits, six doubles, two triples and 10 RBI in 119 at-bats. He is the league leader with 22 stolen bases. Defensively, Shimko has a .980 fielding percentage with three outfield assists.
The PGCBL All-Star Game will take place on July 20 in Albany at 7:05 p.m.
