White Leads Upstate on Final Day of Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate

Nashville, Tenn. – Taylor White carded a final round 76 as the USC Upstate men's golf team concluded play at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon from the par 71, 6925-yard Richland Country Club.
Upstate posted its lowest round of the tournament with a final round 311 and finished in 13th place. The Spartans wrapped up the event with a three-round 943 (320-312-311).
White led the Spartans on the individual leaderboard in a tie for 28th place with a combined score of 229 (79-74-76).
For the third straight round, Matt Carter turned in a score of 78 to put him at 234 (78-78-78) overall and tied for 46th position. Jordan Warnock had the lowest round of the day with a 75 and finished at 238 (82-81-75) for the tournament. Sun Paripunna and Tom Schofield rounded out the standings for Upstate in a tie for 69th and 73rd place, respectively. Paripunna had a third round 84 for a total of 244 (81-79-84) while Schofield was at 247 (82-83-82) after his final round 82.
Host Lipscomb won the team championship of the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate by three strokes over Ole Miss at 7-over 859. Braden Thornberry of Ole Miss took home individual medalist honors with a 14-under 199.
The Spartans will compete in the ASUN Men's Golf Championships on April 16-18 at the Legends Course at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Ga.

- Upstate finished play at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate with a 3.45 stroke average in par 3 scoring, 4.60 stroke average in par 4 scoring and 5.20 stroke average in par 5 scoring.
- The Spartans compiled 126 pars and 26 birdies during the tournament.
- White led Upstate with seven birdies, Carter and Schofield had six each, Warnock four and Paripunna three.
- White concluded the tournament with a 4.26 stroke average on par 4 holes.
