Braselton, Ga. – USC Upstate freshman Jordan Warnock was named to the All-Freshman Team by the league's head coaches as the ASUN Conference announced its men's golf postseason awards on Saturday evening during a ceremony held at the Legends Course at Chateau Elan.
Warnock is the third Upstate men's golfer in program history to be named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team, joining teammates Tom Schofield (2015) and Taylor White (2014).
The Roebuck, S.C. native played in all ten events and 27 rounds this season, and was one of only two players on the team to do so. Warnock ranked third on the team with a 75.56 stroke average and was tied for second with five rounds of par or better. He compiled one top-10 finish and had a career-low round, also tied for lowest on the team this season, of 4-under 68 during the first round of the Wofford Invitational. The freshman carded rounds in the 70's or lower in 23 of his 27 rounds.
Warnock was the team's top individual performer four times this season. He had a career-best finish of tied for sixth place out of 66 players at the Wofford Invitational, while also finishing in a tie for 13th at the season-opening Bridgestone Match Play and tied for 18th at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships.
