Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate baseball team resumes the ASUN Conference portion of its schedule this weekend as the Spartans welcome North Florida to Harley Park. The series begins at 6 p.m. Friday followed by a 2 p.m. Saturday matchup and a 1 p.m. Sunday finale.
Upstate is 19-25 overall and 3-9 in the ASUN Conference following a 6-5 win in 10 innings on Wednesday at Presbyterian College. Drake Harris' single with two outs in the 10th inning plated the winning run as the Spartans got out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth inning without allowing a run. Upstate claimed both games this season against the Blue Hose including a 5-4 triumph in 11 innings at Harley Park on March 22.
North Florida is 31-15 overall and 10-2 in the ASUN Conference after a pair of midweek wins over Central Florida and Florida A&M.
The Ospreys lead the all-time series 42-7 and 20-7 at the Division I level. North Florida has won the past eight meetings.
