
Spartans Travel to Lipscomb for Pivotal ASUN Series

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate baseball team will play its final ASUN Conference series before an exam break this weekend as the Spartans travel to Nashville, Tenn. and Ken Dugan Field to face the Lipscomb Bisons. Friday and Saturday's games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EST with Sunday's series finale slated for a 2 p.m. EST first pitch.
USC Upstate is 21-22-1 overall and 4-8 in the ASUN after dropping a series to Florida Gulf Coast at Harley Park last weekend. The Spartans claimed Friday's opener 7-6 before the Eagles won the series with a 14-1 win on Saturday and a 3-2 victory on Sunday.
Lipscomb is 16-23 overall following an 8-6 loss to Belmont on Tuesday. The Bisons are 4-8 in the ASUN after dropping two of three games at Kennesaw State last weekend. Lipscomb claimed a 6-5 win in Friday's opener before Kennesaw State claimed a Saturday doubleheader.
Lipscomb leads the all-time series 14-7 after claiming the 2017 series at Harley Park.

USC Upstate is off until Wednesday, May 9 when the Spartans welcome Wofford to Harley Park for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
