Date set for the 20th edition of the Spartan Golf Classic

Signature fundraiser for the USC Upstate U-Club slated for Monday, August 23
SPARTANBURG, SC -- The 20th edition of The Spartan Golf Classic, has been set for Monday, August 23, 2021 at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club in Inman.Â
"We are excited to host our annual golf outing this summer and take another step toward normalcy," said vice chancellor and director of athletics Daniel Feig. "We are grateful to Woodfin Ridge and all our donors and corporate partners for their continued support of this event. The move to a Monday date allows us the opportunity to expand the field and create an even more festive atmosphere."
The format for the Spartan Golf Classic will return to a shotgun start at 1:00 pm, however based on positive feedback from the 2020 event, registrations will remain online. Following the round, there will be a reception and dinner planned as well.
"Certainly COVID presented many challenges last year. However, it also afforded us the opportunity to operate differently and we found that the online registrations really made the check-in at the course much smoother and faster. We will continue to provide that level of service moving forward," said Feig.
The Spartan Golf Classic will be spearheaded by associate athletic director for development Scott Netkovick. For registration or sponsorship questions, contact Scott at Netkovis@uscupstate.edu or 864-503-7367.
