USC Upstate and Georgia Tech are meeting for the second time in the Spartans' Division I era (2007-pres.) when they meet in a midweek contest Tuesday. The Spartans took the lone meeting between the two clubs last season behind a 9-3 victory over the No. 12 Yellow Jackets on April 6, 2021.

USC Upstate:
Position Player: Posting a pair of back-to-back multi-hit games to wrap the Spartans' High Point series, freshman catcher Jace Rinehart garnered Big South Freshman of the Week honors. He led Upstate in all three slash line categories last week, posting a line of .571/.571/.714 after going 8-for-14 over three games last week. He picked up a hit in all three games he appeared in, including his first career multi-hit efforts in his two starts against High Point with his eight hits and 10 total bases leading the Spartans.

Georgia Tech:
Position Player: A staple behind the plate for the Yellow Jackets and one of the top prospects in the upcoming MLB Draft, catcher Kevin Parada enters Tuesday's midweek as one of the best hitters in the NCAA. He ranks eighth in the country in RBI (40), 12^th in total bases (85), 15^th in hits (46), and 16^th in home runs (11) entering Tuesday's game with his .374 batting average and .691 slugging percentage ranking second on the Georgia Tech squad this season.

Following Tuesday's midweek contest at Georgia Tech, Upstate returns to conference play for a crucial Big South series against league-leading Campbell. The Spartans and Camels meet for a three-game series with games Friday (6 p.m. ET), Saturday (3 p.m.), and Sunday (2 p.m.) in Buies Creek, N.C.
