Baseball's Noah Sullivan Adds Additional Honor as He's Selected a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American

TUCSON, Ariz. – Following up on his Big South Conference Freshman of the Year honors, USC Upstate baseball's Noah Sullivan continues to add to his season hardware as he garnered a spot on the Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American team, the publication announced Wednesday morning.

A two-way player from Orlando, Fla., Sullivan finished the 2022 season leading all Big South freshmen in hits (67), RBI (42), and pitching victories (six). A consistent presence in the heart of the Upstate order throughout the season as the team's designated hitter, he crafted a three-slash line of .303/.410/.394 over 58 games, adding 13 extra-base hits and 43 runs scored to compliment his 67 hits and 42 RBI. At the plate, Sullivan posted the Spartans' longest reached base streak during the 2022 season, reaching base safely in 34 straight games.

On the mound, Sullivan led Upstate in pitching victories, posting a 6-0 record and a 3.31 earned run average over nine appearances and five starts. Over his first three outings—all out of the bullpen—he earned a victory in each appearance before picking up three more wins over his last three starts of the regular season. Over 32.2 innings of work, he struck out 26 while holding opponents to a .188 batting average.
