Advancing to the championship match of the conference tournament a season ago for the first time in program history and claiming a runner-up finish in the event's stroke play portion, USC Upstate women's golf seeks to bring the program to new heights as the Big South Women's Golf Championship tees off Wednesday afternoon at The Links at Stoney Point in Greenwood, S.C.

The Spartans head into the postseason with a streak of seven straight top-10 team finishes and eight overall top-10 finishes while also claiming a pair of team tournament victories, taking the championships at the Terrier Intercollegiate and the French Broad Collegiate Invite. Upstate holds a Golfstat ranking of 146, earning the No. 4 seed heading into the 2023 Big South Women's Golf Championship.

Upstate, however, enters the conference championship as one of two league teams with three golfers ranked in the top 10 in the conference in scoring average. Redshirt junior Preaw Nontarux leads the way with a 73.70 stroke average, ranking third as she's claimed a pair of tournament victoriesāone of two league players to do so this season.

Ranking fifth in the Big South, redshirt senior Beem Pabsimma holds a stroke average of 74.39 while junior Suwarin Yord-in ranks ninth with a stroke average of 74.96. Pabsimma captured three top-10 finishes on the year with Yord-in earning two.
