Baseball Opens Eight-Game Homestand at Cleveland S. Harley Park by Welcoming Rider to Spartanburg This Weekend

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Following a two-game midweek series at No. 18 Coastal Carolina, USC Upstate baseball returns to Cleveland S. Harley Park to conclude a nine-game stretch against 2023 NCAA Regional participants and begin an eight-game homestand, hosting Rider for a three-game series.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Notching a pair of multi-hit games, redshirt sophomore designated hitter Noah Sullivan finished the two-game set with Coastal Carolina posting a slash line of .667/.667/1.333 while collecting six hits, two home runs, and seven RBI. In game one, he recorded his third career multi-homer game, becoming the first player in the program's Division I era (2007-pres.) to record such a game in three straight seasons. He enters the weekend as the Spartans' leading hitter with a .412 batting average while sporting a 2-1 record and 4.80 Era on the mound.

Rider: A transfer from Bryant, redshirt freshman outfielder Kyle Neri enters the weekend as the Broncs leading hitter, posting a .250 batting average through seven games. Opening the season, he made the most of his collegiate debut as he finished 2-for-3 with two home runs against East Carolina, recording the first multi-hit, first multi-RBI, and first multi-homer game of his career.
