We've been fortunate to have the opportunity to play a lot of coastal golf this spring and see the type of facilities that Fripp is like. I'm looking forward to Fripp itself. It's a beautiful course that is challenging and always in excellent condition. The staff is prepared for this--which is very exciting."

About The Course:
Ocean Point Golf Links, Fripp Island Resort's original golfing jewel, stands out as one of South Carolina's premier golf destinations, nestled in one of the state's most exquisite resorts. Since opening its fairways in 1964, this oceanfront treasure, designed by the illustrious George Cobb – a design consultant for Augusta National and a mastermind behind several Major Championship venues – has offered golfers a unique and breathtaking experience. Cobb's design excellence is vividly displayed at Ocean Point, with five of its holes featuring unparalleled ocean views, enriching your golfing journey with stunning coastal panoramas and capturing the true spirit of seaside golf.
"The Point" is celebrated for its small, well-bunkered greens, demanding meticulous accuracy in iron play. Understanding the coastal breeze's impact, Cobb ingeniously allowed players the option to run the ball onto the majority of the greens, a strategy that becomes crucial on windy days. This design philosophy not only showcases Cobb's mastery but also highlights the symbiotic relationship between the golfer, the course, and the natural elements. A round at Ocean Point is a dance with the coastal winds, a challenge of skill, and an immersion into the grandeur of nature's beauty.
