
Rachel Davis Leads the Way at the Carolina Challenge

COLUMBIA, S.C. – USC Upstate track and field made the short trek to Columbia for the Carolina Challenge. Today's meet included 24 top-ten finishes and 19 personal bests.
Rachel Davis led the way for the Spartans, winning both the women's shot put with a throw of 13.19m and women's weight throw with a distance of 17.75m. Another notable finish was Jordan Thornton, earning second place in the women's mile with a new personal best of 5:06.16.
Jeremiah Harris set a new personal best in the men's 200m with a time of 21.72, moving him to second all-time in school history. Xavier Stone secured a second-place finish in the men's triple jump with a distance of 14.17m.
