SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate track and field has announced its 2026-27 indoor schedule, featuring seven meets highlighted by regional competitions, the Big South Conference Championships and the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Spartans are set to open their indoor campaign on December 5 at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick Off, held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The meet marks the beginning of a competitive indoor slate designed to prepare Upstate's student-athletes for conference and national championship competition.
The 2026-27 indoor schedule features seven meets across four venues, including three competitions at the JDL Fast Track and two at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Tryon, North Carolina.
"We have a solid schedule that will result in great performances for this indoor and outdoor season," said the USC Upstate track and field coaching staff. "The meets will challenge our athletes and put them in competitions that will challenge them and push them to get better."
Following the season opener, the Spartans will return to Winston-Salem on January 17 for the ASICS College Sunday Showdown at the JDL Fast Track, marking their first competition of the new calendar year.
Upstate will then travel to Lexington, Virginia, for a two-day meet at VMI on January 22-23. The competition provides another opportunity for the Spartans to build momentum as they move into the heart of their indoor season.
The month of February begins with a return to the JDL Fast Track for the Camel City meet on February 5-6. The Spartans will then head to Tryon, North Carolina, for the Tryon Collegiate Meet on February 12-13, their final scheduled competition before the conference championships.
Upstate will return to Tryon on February 26-27 for the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, where the Spartans will compete against conference opponents for individual titles and team honors.
The indoor season concludes with the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for March 12-13 in Arkansas, where qualifying Spartans will have the opportunity to compete on the national stage.
Throughout the indoor campaign, USC Upstate will face competitive fields across the region as the program looks to continue developing its student-athletes, improving individual performances and positioning itself for success at the Big South Championships.
The Spartans will look to carry the momentum from their indoor campaign into the 2027 outdoor season as they continue their pursuit of conference titles and national championship qualifications.
