
The Spartans Collect 51 Different Top-Ten Finishes at the UNC Asheville Bulldog Invite

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – USC Upstate made the trip up I-26, competing in the UNC Asheville Bulldog Invite on Friday and Saturday. The Spartans had to brave the weather on both days, encountering rain, wind, and cold temperatures. Despite the elements, the Spartans had 51 different top-ten finishes and 21 new personal bests.
Day One: Quintavius James led the Spartans on Friday with a first-place finish in the men's 100m with a time of 10.52. In women's hammer throw, Jessa Beach earned first place with a throw of 56.12m, and Rachel Davis took second place.
Day Two: Khalif Walston earned a first-place finish in the men's 400m, recording a time of 48.87. In the women's 200m, Tiara Cox finished in second with a time of 25.26. For the third consecutive meet, Jeremiah Harris broke his school record in the men's 200m with a time of 21.07.
