SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Beginning a four-game week against teams from the SoCon, USC Upstate baseball closes out a three-game set against crosstown rival Wofford Tuesday afternoon with a 5:30 p.m. ET first pitch. The two sides enter the rubber match having won its home game in the series' two neutral site games with Upstate winning at Fluor Field on March 19 and Wofford winning at Fifth Third Park on April 1.

USC Upstate: The leading run producer for the Spartans in their weekend series versus Winthrop, junior first baseman Wylie Waters drove home 13 of the team's 46 runs in the three-game set. He finished the weekend slashing .636/.714/1.363 against the Eagles, ending his weekend with his first career multi-homer game and five RBI. Across the three games, he drove home four or more runs in each contest, upping his season total to 38, second most on the ball club.
 
Wofford: Ranking second in the SoCon in both batting average and on-base percentage, junior infielder James Layman leads the Terriers at the plate, posting a .387 average and .523 on-base percentage. He also enters the midweek as the club's leader in stolen bases, swiping 18 in 23 attempts this season while pacing the club with 36 runs scored.
