
Several Spartans Hit Personal Bests at Louisville Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – USC Upstate cross country continued its 2026 season Friday at the Louisville Classic, with both the men's and women's teams competing in deep fields and several Spartans turning in personal-best performances. The women placed 23rd out of 24 teams with 644 points, while the men also finished 23rd out of 24. USC Upstate XC Result 2026 USC Upstate XC Result 2026
On the women's side, Jordan Thorton led the Spartans across the finish line, clocking an 18:52.7 to place 128th overall. Grace Glassmeyer followed with a time of 19:15.7, while Sophia Outhous crossed in 19:26.1.
Upstate also saw several women post personal records. Breanna Sturtevant finished in 19:46.0, Maureen Ortiz ran 19:54.5, Arabella Brownlee recorded a 20:13.8, and Jada Makis posted a 20:26.9, with each effort marked as a PR.Â
For the men, Mason Parish led USC Upstate with an 8K time of 25:46.2, finishing 118th overall. Aiden Abrahams followed with a personal-best 25:59.2, while Eric Perry turned in a 26:09.6 and Cameron Moors finished in 26:11.3.
Several other Spartans produced PRs on the men's side, including Yariel Ferretti at 26:39.0, Elias Harrison at 26:46.3, Aiden Rodges at 27:04.4, Trent Manning at 26:16.8, Jackson Williams at 26:57.4, and Jayden Brostrom at 28:02.8.Â
The Spartans will next return to action on Oct. 17 at the Upstate Invite, with the women slated for a 5K and the men for an 8K.Â
