SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Beginning a nine-game road swing with the team's final multi-game midweek slate, USC Upstate baseball makes a trek to the Sunshine State, facing a pair of former ASUN foes in North Florida and Stetson Tuesday and Wednesday. The Spartans and Osprey tangle for the first time since 2023 with a 6:00 p.m. ET first pitch Tuesday before the Spartans and Hatters meet for the second straight season with Wednesday's 6:30 p.m. ET first pitch.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Making his first start of the season in last Tuesday's game versus Western Carolina, sophomore left-handed pitcher Max Kaplan headed the Spartans' first shutout of the year, tossing 6.0 scoreless innings. Registering Upstate's first quality start of the year, he struck out seven while scattering two hits and five baserunners in Upstate's 17-0 win over the Catamounts.

North Florida: Leading the Osprey at the plate this season, redshirt freshman outfielder Sean Benjamin posts a .440 batting average, ranking sixth in the ASUN in the category entering Tuesday's game. He's collected five multi-hit games in his seven contests this season, recording 11 hits, five of which are doubles, a total that ranks eighth in the NCAA.

Stetson: Returning after appearing in just two games last season due to injury, graduate student infielder Yohann Dessureault paces the Hatters at the plate, posting a .423 batting average. He enters Wednesday's game tied for the team lead with nine RBI while seeing four of his 11 hits in 2026 go for extra bases (three doubles and a home run).
