Return to the Commonwealth of Virginia Awaits Baseball with Easter Week Contests at George Mason and Radford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Coming off the club's second three-game weekend series during Big South Conference play, USC Upstate baseball embarks on another five-game road swing, its second in as many road swings, as it returns to the Commonwealth of Virginia for games against George Mason and Radford.

Meeting Tuesday, the Spartans and Patriots meet for the sixth time in Upstate's Division I era (2007-pres.), meeting outside of Spartanburg for the first time. The Spartans hold a 3-2 lead in the series, winning each of the past two meetings. In a three-game Easter weekend series, Upstate meets Radford for the 24^th, 25^th, and 26^th times as the Spartans hold a 13-10 advantage and look to avenge a sweep at the hands of the Highlanders last season.

Players to Watch
USC Upstate: Reaching safely via a hit in each of the Spartans' four games last week, redshirt freshman rightfielder Trey Bentley upped his team-leading hitting streak to nine games. During his hitting streak, he's collected 12 of his 20 hits this season, upping his batting average to .299 entering Tuesday's midweek game. All five of his extra-base hits this season, four doubles and one home run, have come during his hitting streak.

George Mason: Ranked top two on his club in all three slash-line categories, senior infielder Owen Clyne leads his club in batting average (.423) and slugging percentage (.670) while ranking second in on-base percentage (.504). He ranks second in the A-10 in hits, recording 41 over 25 games, good for 1.64 hits per contest. Clyne leads the Patriots with nine doubles while ranking second on the team with 24 RBI this season.

Radford: One of three Highlanders to start all 24 games this season, junior outfielder Devin Parks leads the club with 26 RBI heading into the midweek. He paces his club in hits, home runs, and total bases, in addition to leading in RBI as he's collected 20 hits, four home runs, and 51 total bases. Parks enters Tuesday's midweek contest against Virginia Tech with nine multi-hit and seven multi-RBI games.
