Beginning Another Long Road Swing, Baseball Treks to Lowcountry for Tuesday Meeting with College of Charleston

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Closing a four-game stretch of foes from the Holy City, USC Upstate baseball begins its latest extended road swing—an eight-game stretch away from home—Tuesday evening with a trip to the Lowcountry for a meeting with College of Charleston. The Spartans meet the Cougars for the second straight season and the 14th time overall, meeting in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2021-22.

Saturday against Charleston Southern, he finished a single shy of the cycle while driving home four, notching a season-high RBI total for the second time last week. He enters the midweek posting a .336/.410/.570 slash line with six homers and 23 RBI to his credit.

College of Charleston: Leading the Cougars at the plate this season, sophomore utility player Alex LaCoste posts a team-leading batting average (.344) and slugging percentage (.578) while leading the club with six homers. He carries a five-game hitting streak into Tuesday's game, but fashioned a 15-game streak earlier in the season. Of his 31 hits on the season, all have come during his two hitting streaks, encompassing 20 of his past 21 games.
