SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The final midweek contest of the 2026 campaign awaits USC Upstate baseball as Tuesday's game at Fifth Third Park—Home of the Hub City Spartanburgers—closes the Spartans' midweek slate and its NCAA Tournament rematch series against Clemson with a 6 p.m. ET first pitch. The Spartans and Tigers meet for the second time this season, with their last meeting on April 21, 2026, a 7-2 Clemson win, and the 16th time overall, as Upstate seeks a fourth win against the Tigers since 2021.

USC Upstate: Extending his career-long hitting streak to 10 games with a pair of extra-base hits Sunday at Presbyterian, redshirt sophomore rightfielder Henry Zenor notched his 27th multi-hit effort of the season, the most multi-hit games by a Spartan since Gaither Bumgardner (27) in 2013. Tripling and homering, he recorded a career-high five RBI in the 13-4 win, becoming the fifth Upstate player this season with a five-plus RBI game. He enters Tuesday's game leading the Big South and ranking 18th in the NCAA with 77 hits on the season, posting a .336 batting average.

Clemson: Leading the Tigers in the first meeting with Upstate in late April, redshirt junior first baseman Luke Gaffney tied his career high with five RBI, finishing 2-for-4 with a home run. He enters Tuesday's game ranked second on his club in batting average, hitting .322 (59-of-183) with 11 doubles and eight home runs. Gaffney also ranks as the third toughest hitter to strike out in the ACC this season, striking out once every 9.2 at-bats.
