SPARTANBURG, S.C. – USC Upstate men's soccer continues Big South Conference play Saturday evening as the Spartans travel to Farmville, Virginia, to face Longwood. Kickoff from the Longwood Athletics Complex is scheduled for 6 p.m. with the match available on ESPN+.

Upstate enters Saturday following a 3-1 victory over Presbyterian in its Big South opener. Tolu Fabamifobee opened the scoring in the first half before David Palade and Christian Cook found the back of the net after halftime. Palade finished with a goal and an assist, while goalkeeper Jarrett Wuerslin made seven saves.
Through nine matches, the Spartans have scored 16 goals while producing 119 shots and 50 corner kicks. Cook leads the team with four goals and eight points, while Josh Zawlocki has scored three times. Fabamifobee has added two goals and two assists.
SCOUTING LONGWOOD
Longwood enters the weekend with a 5-3-0 overall record and an 0-1-0 mark in Big South play. The Lancers opened conference action with a 3-0 loss at UNC Asheville after beginning the season with five straight victories.
The Lancers have scored 21 goals through eight matches. Brando Bedolla leads Longwood with 15 points behind four goals and seven assists, while Joshwa Campbell has scored a team-high five goals. Levon Saribekyan has added four goals and two assists.
Saturday marks the second Big South match of the season for Upstate. The Spartans return to non-conference action Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Elon before returning home Oct. 3 to host Radford.
