Biography

2019 (Senior): Competed in 21 singles matches and 20 doubles matches as a senior.  Earned her first singles win on Feb. 2nd against Belmont Abbey in which she defeated her opponent 6-1 in both sets. Zarama finished the season with 4 wins in singles play, beating Belmont Abbey, Western Carolina, Presbyterian, and Hampton. Scored the lone point for the team in the match against Western Carolina. She took her opponent, Carli Deehr, to 3 sets winning 6-1 and 6-4. Matched her win total from the previous 2 seasons with the 4 wins in singles play. Zarama also finished the season with 6 wins in doubles play. She had wins against Belmont Abbey, Queens (N.C.), Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb, Stetson, and UNC Asheville. Partnered with Maria Jardim in all but 2 matches this season. Matched her second best win total in doubles play.

2018 (Junior): Saw action at courts 2-4 in singles play and teamed with Carol Sigaki at number one doubles...Posted an 8-8 doubles record and a 4-16 singles record...had a four-match winning streak with Sigaki from March 4-March 18.

2017 (Sophomore): Played at number two and number three singles...teamed with classmate Carol Sigaki at number two doubles.
