Biography

2020 (Junior): In a shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cevallos held a 3-12 overall singles record, playing primarily at the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions…In doubles action Cevallos held a 3-7 overall record as a member of the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams.

2019 (Sophomore): Competed in 5 singles matches and 16 doubles matches during her sophomore season. Did not compete in a singles match until March. Cevallos won her first singles match on Apr. 10th, defeating UNC Asheville’s Kylee Shipley 7-6 and 6-3. Won her next, and final, singles appearance defeating Longwood’s Anika Tylek 7-6 and 6-3. Earned her first doubles win of the season on Feb. 24th against Chattanooga. Finished the season with 6 total doubles wins against Chattanooga, Campbell, Gardner-Webb, SC State, Hampton, and Longwood. Won three straight doubles matches from Feb. 24th-Mar.6th.  Cevallos’ individual doubles points against Hampton and Longwood helped lead the team to victories. Improved her win total in doubles wins from the previous season.

Before Upstate: Attended Unidad Educative Balandra Cruz del Sur...Played at LB Tennis Academy...Member of Equador''s Junior Fed Cup Team in 2013 and 2015.

Personal: Born June 25, 1999 in Quito Ecudador...Daughter of Alberto Cevallos and Cumanda Gonzalez...Has two brothers (Martin and Santiago) and two sisters (Gabriela and Silvana)...Majoring in business administration.
