2020 (Senior): Oakes was recognized by the Big South coaches as the Preseason Player of the Year…Despite a shortened season due to COVID-19, Oakes still batted .262 and collected 17 hits on the season…The Sunshine state native started 23 games behind the plate for the Spartans and led the Conference in fielding percentage (1.000)…In the field she recorded 138 putouts and 8 assists.

2019: Played in all 56 games of her junior season. She had 140 at bats, 54 hits, and 22 home runs earning her a .386 batting average for the season. She had 1 triple, 8 doubles, and 73 RBI’s. Oakes’s best game of the season was 14-0 win against N.C Central where she where she had 2 hits from her 3 at bats. She had 2 runs, 1 home run, and 6 RBI’s. Team ranking,1st in homeruns (22), on base percentage (.521)  and runs batted in (73)  2nd in batting average (.386). Oakes ranked 1st in slugging percentage, runs batted in, homeruns, walks (41),  in the Big South Conference (.929) 3rd in batting average and runs scored in the Big South Conference,

Prior to USC Upstate:  Spent one season at Central Florida and one at Seminole State College…Served primarily as a backup at UCF...Hit .211 after playing in 15 games with eight starts…Spent her freshman season at Seminole State College and was a Third Team NJCAA All-American after hitting .403 with six home runs, 59 RBI, 46 runs scored and 18 doubles…Also threw out 10 baserunners in 21 stolen base attempts.

High School/Travel Ball:  Graduated from Lake Howell High School…Lettered four years in softball…Holds the school single-season doubles record…Was named both First and Second Team All-Conference…Earned Second Team All-State honors as a senior…Participated in the NFCA All-Star Game…Played travel ball for Wagner’s Gold.
