Biography

2020 (Sophomore): In a season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic…Grigsby emerged as one of the Spartans top offensive weapons…The sophomore started all 24 games in centerfield and batted a team high .378…Grigsby ranked 9th nationally in Sacrifice Fly’s, ranked 3rd in the Big South in RBI’s (24) and 5th in the Big South in hits (28)…Grigsby stole 11 bases and made 13 putouts in the field.

2019: Played in 46 games with 13 starts as a freshman. Grigsby had 9 hits on 40 plate appearances earning her a .225 batting average. She had 4 RBI’s on the season along with 3 walks and 14 stolen bases. Best game of the season came in a 19-5 win over Campbell where she went 3-4 with 2 RBI’s and 3 stolen bases. Ranked 2nd on the team in substitutions (33).

High School/Travel Ball:  Graduated from Lugoff Elgin High School where she earned five varsity letters in softball...Recorded 44 stolen bases in her career…Hit .522 over 115 games while registering 275 hits, 28 doubles, 19 triples and five home runs.

Personal:  Born on December 11, 2000…Parents are Chris and Sarah Grigsby…Has three sisters: Chayce, Caroline and Maddy; and one brother, Christopher.
