Upstate Track and Field to Face Wofford April 7 in Dual Meet

Upstate-Wofford Dual Meet Schedule 
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - USC Upstate men's and women's track and field head coach Jimmy Stephens has announced that USC Upstate and fellow Spartanburg school Wofford will compete against each other in the 1st Annual USC Upstate vs. Wofford Dual Track and Field Meet Monday, April 7 at 5 p.m. on the campus of Broome High School in Spartanburg.
"We are very excited to be competing against Wofford," Stephens said. "We are looking at (the meet) as a fun event with competition. Both teams are fairly new and we hope this meet will become a yearly event."
The dual meet will consist of 15 men's and 15 women's track and field events with the top-three finishers in each events scoring points for their team (five points for first place, three for second and one for third; five points will be awarded to the team that wins a relay race).
It will be the seventh time in the 2007-08 athletic year that USC Upstate and Wofford have competed against each other. The two Spartanburg schools have previously faced each other in volleyball, men's and women's tennis, baseball and men's and women's golf.
