Spartans Take Part in Saturday's Spartanburg International Festival

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - USC Upstate cross country runners Emily Tangwar, Joan Tangwar, Carolyne Chelulei, Jemeli Sang and Gilbert Kemboi took part at the Spartanburg International Festival on Saturday. This was the 24th year that the city of Spartanburg has hosted the event at Barnet Park.

The festival focused on the continent of Africa this year. There was a parade of nations that the five Spartans took part in on Saturday.

Also at the event on Saturday, there was a boulevard of food. Festival attendees were able to sample various African cuisines. There were also many other parts of the festival and information can be found by clicking here.
