RALEIGH, N.C. - The USC Upstate track and field team competed in a pair of meets over the weekend. The first came at the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State University.
In the women's 5,000-meter run, Carolyne Chelulei (Eldoret, Kenya/Alliance Girls) finished second as she shattered her own school record. Her time of 17:14.10 was 10 seconds faster than the previous record of 17:23.33 that was set by Emily Tangwar (Eldoret, Kenya/Lareto) at last year's Penn Relays.
