
Upstate Sits 18th at CSU Kiawah Classic following Day Two Action

Kiawah Island, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's golf team carded a 306 on Monday and is in 18th place following second round action at the CSU Kiawah Classic from Turtle Point Golf Course.
Upstate enters the final day of competition with a team score of 605 and is three strokes behind 17th place Winthrop.
Host school Charleston Southern leads the CSU Kiawah Classic with a two-day score of 566 and holds a five-stroke advantage over second place Virginia. Augusta's Robin Petersson tops the individual standings after day two at 10-under 134. He leads the tournament by one stroke over R.J. Keur of Charleston Southern.
Ryan Cornfield leads the Spartans individually as he is tied for 12th place at 142 overall following a second round 72 on Monday. Cornfield posted even-par scores across the front- and back-nine and finished with three birdies on the day. He heads into the final day with a 2-under 142.
Taylor White turned in his second straight round of 77 and is tied for 84th at 154. White recorded three birdies during his second round and added an early eagle on the par-5 2nd hole.
Matt Carter started his round with two birdies on the first nine holes and posted pars on seven of his final nine. Carter is tied for 90th place after his second round 78 and is at 155 overall.
Trey Taylor registered 11 pars over his 18 holes and finished with a second round 81. He is tied for 94th with a two-round score of 156.
Sebastian Lopez Bulla also had his second consecutive round of 79 and currently sits tied for the 101st position with a 36-hole score of 158. Lopez Bulla posted 12 pars during round two highlighted by eight on the back-nine.
Upstate concludes play at the CSU Kiawah Classic Tuesday starting at 8:30 a.m. on holes 13-16.
